  • Trying to Post in the GoDaddy thread...

Maybe vBulletin doesn't work that well? I have been trying to post a response (in the GoDaddy thread) and the software is first telling me that my response is empty and then that I have posted a duplicate post. And... it's not there. Brilliant! Perhaps the issue is with the software not working so well? Seems to be the case on this particular install, anyway...

It seems like they have upgraded PHP to 5.3 - good...

It seems like they offer MySQL at 5.5 - good... but I created a database and it is 5.0 - bad.

On the phone with GoDaddy support. If they can change my database to 5.5, the minimum requirements will be met. I have used vBulletin 3 on GoDaddy for years with absolutely 0 problems. Perhaps you just have to be an insistent customer? I will report back when I have my site up and running on GoDaddy.

You should just not use godaddy, please trust on this. They're not worth your time or money.

Yeah... I am going to have to find another solution. They have MySQL 5.5 in development but cannot even offer an estimated release date.

Hmmm... back to the drawing board.
