  • Bandwidth requirements

I'm currently hosting with VenturesOnline with the $24.95/month package.
My problem is my site is becoming real popular, real fast. I'm using bandwidth up like crazy.

Any suggestions on what I should do about this?
How can I cut down my bandwidth?
Should I stay with VO and pay for more bandwidth as needed?

I would love to get a dedicated server but I don't have the cash. I'm trying to make a little income off my site, but its not even enough to pay for my current plan. I think I can improve my earning some, but I'm not sure how yet.

    Thanks

You could either try their "V650" plan or if you tell me how much bandwidth/space you need I can give you a quote

Well already in January (1 day) I've used up 1.13016543164849MB of bandwidth.

        well
its their way or the highway
if your site is becoming popular, they will force you to go to Dedicated, or else

But the dedicated servers only give you 25gb of bandwidth a month. How is that going to make a difference?

So my 20gb bandwidth limit is shared with other people using the same server?

                no not bandwith
                server resources like
                -processor
                -memory
                -hd space

a dedicated server only hosts one site
shared servers usually host a few hundred

But the only problem I'm having right now is with Bandwidth. How would more memory or space help?

Not to sound pushy, I'm just trying to understand this better.

try reading hints and tips forum for ideas of bandwidth saving stuff to do..

short of that you could move to VO's 650 plan for 30GB/month http://www.venturesonline.com/hosting/v650.html
