Help Needed Quickly Please - Host Change
My site just changed our hosts and moved to Hostican and since connecting we are getting hit with major problems, one being our site is down and we can not get to it. We were told that we used to much of the CPU because of bad scripts. Which is fine but shouldnt they let you in to fix your problem? The service for this company up front was very good but I can not get any help in how to fix our problem. Any thoughts?
We are going to switch hosts hopefully going to a better "shared" host. We currently have about 1000 members with around 80-90 active per day and no more than 30 online at one time but there are times we get around 500+ search bots searching our site. At this point yesterday is when the site crashed and we can not get it back. I plan on adding something (not sure what) to minimize the bots. What type of host would you all recommend for me and how much script/coding is causing this mush CPU usage?
