  • need lots of support, hosting advice 2

I currently host with startlogic.com and find them to be pretty slow at times for my forums and online store sites.

Here is my situation. I have 2 main sites. www.rawguru.com and www.rawfoodchat.com

I would like to transfer my www.rawfoodchat.com forums site to my guru site as www.rawguru.com/community.

Is there a way to transfer it like this without losing any members or threads/posts?

    -----

I would also like to get a dedicated host for my site www.rawguru.com because it will now have an active forum on it and also an online store.

What dedicated server do I need? http://www.startlogic.com/products_dedicatedserver.html

    ----

How do I set up a dedicated host? Is is similar to my regular host where I just go into my ftp and upload all the files I need?

    ----

And last, will anyone help me with this transfer? Thanks in advance.

If you were experiencing slowness with them before, it's most likely their bandwidth provider.

I know of someone who's got a Celeron that you could purchase for <$100/month probably. If you go here: http://www.jewlzk.com/clientarea2/contact.php or email [email protected] and mention my name, Trevor Goodyear, you can probably get it for under $100. Seeing as how you were running fine on a shared account, a Celeron is probably perfect for you.

A dedicated server will function a lot like a shared account would. You upload your files in the same way

A MySQL transfer can be done so you will lose no clients, and it will be like you never moved.

If you need a dedicated, get it from data393.com
They are not the cheapest option, but you wont regret.
