    Please help!!

    Dear Friends,

I am about to lease for one year the vBulletin software, but firstly i need to find a good host! I do not have much knowledge on these things, and i know that there are many here with both good knowledge and experience.

I am looking for a site where i can register the domain name and get the hosting option (the site say for example www.myboard.com) will only be used as a forum - no webpages at all. I would like something that is good and secure, and if possible not too expensive. Ultimately i don't mind paying if the service is good.

I will give you a little information so you know what i am looking for. There will not be many members - only 20-30 and no more. We will not be transferring huge amounts of data, but will obviously use the board a lot and would like to upload a lot of content such as pictures and other files (but not a lot).

I myself am based in the UK, but the members will be around the world. Someone told me i should find a USA host if members will be mainly in the usa.

I am not sure i can afford a dedicated server but security is very important.

Right now i don't need to "creme de la creme" just a good secure and well priced hosting plan.

It would be best if i could get the domain name from them too.

I hope i have not written too much and God bless those who help. Thank you very much!

I think a shared hosting solution will do just fine for you.

You can browse communehost, a small orange, theplanet.com and other sites suggested by community members in these forums, and on sites like webhostingtalk.com

try http://www.surpasshosting.com I just bought with them 'bout a month ago, they had a promotion going on at the time and I figured what the heck and bought it. So far I am loving it. Support responds in 1 hour or less they have a support forum which is actually ran using vBulletin software. I haven't had any problems yet that have been unresolved..Just my 2 cents..

Um, you might want to rethink a CommuneHost recommendation. As nice of a guy as Jonathan is, he has been absent from his businesses for more than a month. The cPanel licenses have expired. The help desk is unattended. People are leaving in droves, including me. I was unable to transfer any files or send email for several weeks and no one bothered to answer my help tickets. That is unacceptable.

It is really too bad. Jonathan is such a nice, polite, helpful guy

          Try Real Web Host.

So far i've gotten no problems and everything is going smoothly . Good hosting plans, GD, cPanel, and more! All features of vBulletin should work so far all features have worked on my installation
