I am trying to get it so when I press enter in a text box it makes a new line when I call it up from the database it shows it on a new line. Anyone know how to do this?

It sounds to me as if you're in need of the nl2br() function.

// An example.
$string = "this is just a little\ntesting string..";
echo nl2br($string);

No, an enter is a newline, which is \n.
