how to position and size a image in a html webpage?

I am a fresh hand for html,could you tell me how to put a image in a specific location and how to size it in a html webpage?
another question is how to embed or paste one image in another image?

For the best help on html you can goto www.w3.org and find how they want you to use the <img> tag options/variables.

For image manipulation you should use adobe photoshop or paint shop pro or any other image manipulation program to resize and merge images etc.

You could also check up on layers and tables in html to see how that works out for you.


If you want a 'what you see is what you get' program, rather then having to code, you could try frontpage or dreamweaver. (i'd go for dreamweaver)
