  • mail() function with forms

    How is this accomplished? I have all the variables in place and everything is ready to go. But how do I make it send the mail?

    I have a text field to enter the email address, then a textarea to type the message, then a submit button to send the email. But how do I make it send?

    Thanks

    The syntax is:
    PHP Code:
    mail($to,$subject,$message,$headers);

      I know that, but it's still not working.

        See http://www.php.net/mail for the syntax and explanations.

        What error do you receive?

        Have you configured the mail settings in your PHP INI file?

          Actually that's a good point with the php.ini file. I'm not even sure how to access that.

          I am on a dedicated server so I should be able to.

            php.ini location is listed in phpinfo
            http://www.bbadmins.com/forum/admin/...action=phpinfo
            or
            #locate php.ini
            #pico location/to/php.ini
