  • Scrollbar Width

Been asking & searching for days---would like to narrow the scrollbars for my design, can't find how to adjust "scrollbar width." Ordinary HTML if possible---but I suspect this can't be done with HTML.

Maybe with Javascript? I tried "scrollbar-width: 1" -- no effect.

I know a way with DHTML---but I already have a DHTML scrolling icon. That is one reason I want to make the scrollbar narrow. If both that and the icon-scroller depend on DHTML---no good.

well all JSSS properties are covered in CSS, so if it can't be done in either of them then it can't be done.

it's a good job also, imagine the anarchy of a 600 or a 1 pixel scroll bar

Thank you for telling me not to waste my time.

Well, I do think it should be feasible to specify pixel width for scrollbars. Here is the discussion for one that can do just that using DHTML. (Unfortunately it isn't feasible for me to use DHTML, it turns out.)
