send the email to an account that allows html in emails?

only some people do, i presonally dont like the idea of having html in an email because then they could send me to different places using meta tags

Don't quote me on this, becuase I'm not sure, but perhaps the mail() function isn't ment to send HTML emails? I have to be honest I've never tried sending HTML emails using mail().

Another thing may be that you might have to define a particular header in the email in order for the email client to treat it as a HTML email instead of a plain text email.

yes you do need the headers

errr, I thought all you had to do was add Content-type: text/html for the extra headers

edit: nevermind, i didn't look at scoutt's snippet
