    Normalized or not, you're always going to use mysql_query() to execute your queries. The queries wont be any different in PHP than the ones you're using at the prompt.

    Normalization, in simple terms, is the optimization of table structures. You can find more info by doing a google search.

    Use this:
    Code:
    mysql_query("SELECT * FROM `table` WHERE `cell` = 'value' AND `cell2` = 'value2'");
    Use the WHERE statement to only get rows with the values you are looking for.

    Hi all,

    I have a database with 5-6 colums, and I want to make searches in that so that a user can specify what certain fields have to be ... does anyone know how to do this in php ?? I know how to do it directly into telnet but not via webpages
