  • JS question for all you wizards ;)

    Seeing as I've never been any good at JavaScript I decided to post my question here Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

    Say I have a document with 3 frames, called say frame1, frame2 and frame3. frame1 and frame2 will be static (ie once they're loaded they will stay the same) but frame3 will change according to links people click in any of the three frames.

    Is there any way for me to get the current frame URL for one frame from another frame using JS? Ie I'd like frame1 to be able to assign the current URL of frame3 to a variable and then do various things with it. Is that at all possible? And if I've explained it badly please let me know and I'll try again

    Thanks again!

    Code:
    <SCRIPT language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript">
    <!--
    var frame1url = parent.frames[frame1].location;
    // -->
    </SCRIPT>
    I think that should work, but I'm not positive.
