  • vbulletin 4.2.5 iframe ads not save and not display from adsterra

    My vb4 forum running latest 4.2.5
    adsterra.com I have there ads code when I placed wordpress forum work fine but vbulletin 4.2.5 I place code via manage ads and cannot load save but not display on the forum
    I put ads footer manually footer template edit but not show ads

    How I can fix this issue?

    There is nothing in vBulletin 4.2.X that would prevent this. Make sure your server isn't setting any kind of security headers that can prevent iframes from working.

    Should also look for errors in your browser's developer tools. Do a web search for developer tools with your browser's name to find instructions on how to use them.

      I know this is an old thread but I have the exact same issue with 4.2.4 and 4.2.5

      I can add the Adsterra code to the footer template in my custom skin and the default vB skin and click save... this just goes to a blank white screen in the admincp

      Remove the code and save works as it should..

      Other companies codes work OK, i.e Google, Media.net

        vBulletin 4 hasn't really changed in about 5 years now. So the issue will continue. The most likely cause is that iframes are considered insecure on the WWW in the current decade and your server is specifically blocking them with a CORS header because of this.

        You shouldn't be editing templates to add advertising in vBulletin 4. You should be using the Ad Manager which is part of the system.
