How - Last 3 posts forum selected forums on home page?

Whats up,

I am currently displaying on my home page
(its a non vb page) - Users Online & last
5 Calendar events.

I was wondering if anyone knew the code to
display several 'last posts' in a few
selected forums?

I think there are several hacks for this over at vbulletin.org. PluhNews may be one, but it might require minor modifications. Check over there.

Try this little script I wrote... It shows last 10 posts including number of replies and last poster name... Just change your db info...

But is their a way to call the common.php
instead of this:

Everytime I have tried to call vb pages into a non-vb page I seem to get header errors so I just call the db on my own...

Thanks however that site hasn't been as productive as it once was... The game is getting old... Been online for more than 3 years...

You could modify the code to do alt colors but I didn't see the need for me..

* Make alternating table colors for this

* Make it so I can choose 1 forum to
display instead of it all.

I'm not that good at PHP to do the alt colors. but to select from only one forum change the line below to the other one...

$post_result = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM thread ORDER BY lastpost DESC LIMIT 0,10");


$post_result = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM thread WHERE forumid=1 ORDER BY lastpost DESC LIMIT 0,10");

then change forumid= to the forum number you want to use.
