    Do it in smaller batches in that case.

    If something goes wrong with you doing that, we don't provide support for it - you'll be asked to restore your database from a backup taken before you started trying to edit the database directly.

    Also, the vBulletin software makes sure that all the necessary information is removed via the Datamanagers - doing it via the database will possibly leave orphaned records which could cause problems in the day-to-day running of the software.

    Noooooooo, do NOT do this...

    Use the Prune tool in AdminCP > Threads and Posts to do this
