  • Is running vB on suPHP recommended?

I'm reading posts from years ago this causes errors and needing to change file permissions. My account has Apache running under nobody. My host recommends running suPHP for greater security and "greater interoperability with vBulletin." What are your thoughts?

It does cause errors, and it is NOT recommended.

I changed over as a trial. Everything is OK so far. They also switched me over the Apache running in cgi. I didn't know that was part of the installation
