white background?

Hi i got not much experience with writing php. I Integrated an logo on the site, but now all the links (user cp...) are in a white background. So i deleted in the header template 2 lines where i found something like a background.gif or something else. Ok the white background now is away, but now my site looks so:

so who can tell me the code i must wrote for:

let me tell in words: i wanna have on the right so as usual the usercp, registry ....., at the top my favorite links and on the left my logo. But now the usercp, reg... are at the top left and on the right above the board is a big black area.
can someone explain me, why there is suddenly a white background when i integrate myself pictures as a logo?

Just try to restore you old headers in the templates.
