  • Call to undefined function mysql_connect()

I am lost at this point. We moved from running our website in windows to Debian 5-64bit. Everything seems to work aside from the mysql issue.
Ive quadruple checked everything and searched everywhere for a solution.
The file names all Match, the directory paths are all right.

    Any help would be awesome.

    We have VB 3.8.3
    PHP5
    Apache2

The MySQL server is running on another machine on the Same Network to reduce the load of the web server itself.

There is no MySQL lib loaded in php. You need to recompile with MySQL support.

I hadent Compiled to begin with. It was just selectable Packages.
Frogive me, im still learning linux.

How would I go about Compliing php?

      I have in the config

      extension=mysql.so
and the extensions directory points to where they are.
      ------------------------
I take back all I had said.
I figured it out. the modules wernt in the specified Directory, which by default is './'
That has to be manuall changed to where your modules are which in my case was /usr/lib/php5/20060613

I moved them into my php5 conifg folder and set them to there. Issue solved.
Thanks guys, you helped more then it looks.
