    I would like to insert the last 10 posts into my index.htm on the front page of my site http://www.lyricalbeatdown.com/index.htm

    here is the link to the file I want to include

    http://www.lyricalbeatdown.com/last10.php

    the posts show up correctly but when I try to include it into a page I have to rename the page to a .phtml extension

    see http://www.lyricalbeatdown.com/last10.phtml

    I am using the following code on that page
    <? include("last10.php"); ?>

    is there something that I can do so that I can put this on the front page of my site and won't have to rename it to a .phtml extension?

    Thanks,

    Bill Burns

    You could tell Apache to parse all .html files for PHP. This will create overhead for every .html file served. I read a report somewhere that it is an average of 10% slower serving .html pages.
