  • Ã in Echo?

    I am guessing this is a pretty simple PHP question, but I just don't know how to get around this.

    Anyway, here is the sample code:
    PHP Code:
    <?PHP
    print("÷");
    ?>
    Which returns this:
    ÷

    I just can't find out how it will actually to make it return "÷".

    Thanks,

    That's rather strange...I've created it on PHP 5.3.0-dev & lighttpd and it works fine. PHP 5.2.5 & Apache 2 work fine as well.

    What browser are you using?

      Just a guess ... could this have to do with the default charset your web server is using?

        Do you mean to view the page? Then I use Firefox, but I also tested it in Opera and got the same problem.

        I don't know, though that could be the problem.
