    telnet into your server and type

    Code:
    whereis mysql
    or create a php script like this

    PHP Code:
    <?php

    echo `whereis mysql`;

    ?>

    Try

    Code:
    phpinfo();
    There should be a "Configure command" part of the first table, and if mySQL is enabled for your PHP, it should tell you s/th like '--with-mysql=/usr/local/mysql' ...logical conclusion: if your mySQL works, this is the path.

    Hope this helps.
