  • Different keyboards, different W3C problems

I was cleaning up my site with the W3C validator http://validator.w3.org/ when I noticed that some of my users apparently have different keyboard symbols.

Vbulletin posts with an apostrophe ’ instead of ' or quotes “” instead of "" sends the W3C validator into a tizzy.

When I first ran my post here through the validator, it displayed the problem, but the next time I tried it, it was OK. I see that something changed the odd quotes to & # 8220; & # 8221; (spaced to show the code) and the apostrophe to & # 8217; Why doesn't my board do that?

EDIT: AhHa - the old Replacement Variable Manager trick!
