    Gary, I'm using the javascript you provided above.. It works quite well, but I'm trying to pull information from two different forums.. Although I specified two different address it names the thread topics the same but it redirects me to the right address.. Do I need to specify something is this code in order for it to get it right?

    thanks

    Turn on syndication, then write a little javascript for your main page.

    This displays the 8 newest threads:

    Code:
                        <script type="text/javascript" src="http://your.site.com/vb/external.php?type=js"></script>
                        <script type="text/javascript">
    <!--
            for (var i = 0; i < 8; i++)
            {
                    document.write('<font face="Arial" size="2"><a href="http://your.site.com/vb/showthread.php?t=' + threads[i]['threadid'] + '">' + threads[i]['title'] + '</a> <em>' + threads[i]['threaddate'] + ', ' + threads[i]['threadtime'] + '</em><br /></font>');
            }
    //-->
    </script>

    Thanks, that's just what I need! I'm having a problem though and nobody seems to keep an eye on that thread anymore... do you have any idea how to call PHP pages in CGI??

    My site is a CGI page that has lots of html pages inside it, spread out over different sections. So for example the header is one seperate html page, and the ads on the left are another html page, etc... I changed one of my html pages to php and tested it on its own (it worked like a dream with the hack you linked me to) but when the cgi page tries to load it in itself, it just shows everything BUT the php... it's not parsing the PHP.

    I've asked there but nobody is answering, and the only threads i can find about it are for VB2, not 3.

    started a topic "Recent forum posts" on main site?

    "Recent forum posts" on main site?

    How would I go about adding a little section to an area of my site that shows, say, the 5 most recently updated threads from the forum? I've seen it done on many websites but have never known how to do it...
