  • need help with 2 things

    I need some help with just two things.
    First off :: How do you create mouse over effects? So, like, if you have black text, and when the mouse goes over the text it changes the text colour, and undrlines it, how do i insert that HTML?

    secondly, what is the HTML for drop down menus, and how do you change the background colour of the box and text?

    Please help me!!!

    Thanks

    Actually, it isn't HTML, it uses CSS.

    EG:

    Code:
    <STYLE TYPE="text/css">
    <!--

    A:link, A:visited {text-decoration: none; color: #FF9900}
        A:active {text-decoration: none; color: #C0C0C0}
        A:hover {text-decoration: underline; color: #C0C0C0}

    //-->
    </STYLE>
    That will make all links on that page change to C0C0C0 after being rolled over, abd will add an underline.

    Code:
    <STYLE TYPE="text/css">
    <!--

    INPUT {color:#color; background: #color}

        SELECT {color:#color; background: #color}

        INPUT.RADIO {background-color: #color}

        TEXTAREA {color:#color; background: #color; font-family:FONT}

        INPUT.BUTTON {color:#color; background: #color; font-weight: bold; font-family: FONT}

    //-->
    </STYLE>
    That code will change a majority of all form inputs and fields. Or just look at vBulletin's CSS.

      Oh, yeah, HTML for a drop-down menu is this:

      Code:
      Choose your AGE:

      <SELECT NAME="Age" SIZE="1">
          <option>11</option>
          <option>12</option>
          <option>13</option>
          <option selected>14</option>
      </SELECT>
      The SELECTED added inside the option tag will make that option selected, can only be used once.

      Hope this all helps you.

            Hmm, that needs a script. Try HotScripts.com and search under PHP or CGI. There will be a script somewhere for that.

            EDIT

            About the the Selection box: the CSS tag (SELECT {color:#color; background: #color}) up above covers changing the colors for that.
