DHTML Trick

I ran across this nifty piece of DHTML the other day, and I thought it would be a good thing to put on my site. I'm pretty sure I can figure out how to make the rest fit to my site, but I can't figure out how to make the mask (which is white in the example to blend in with the background) gray to blend in with my #333333 background. Does anyone know how to do this?

Try changing this:

<div style="position:absolute;left:0;top:20;filter:mask([COLOR=DarkRed]color=#ffffff[/COLOR]);width:160;height:120">

to this:

<div style="position:absolute;left:0;top:20;filter:mask([COLOR=DarkRed]color=#333333[/COLOR]);width:160;height:120">

Keep in mind that it wont work in firefox.
