What are some of these features?

    And excellent interview.
    • PHP 5 features the Zend Engine 2.
    • XML support has been completely redone in PHP 5, all extensions are now focused around the excellent libxml2 library (http://www.xmlsoft.org/).
    • SQLite has been bundled with PHP. For more information on SQLite, please visit their website.
    • A new SimpleXML extension for easily accessing and manipulating XML as PHP objects. It can also interface with the DOM extension and vice-versa.
    • Streams have been greatly improved, including the ability to access low-level socket operations on streams.

Eh, that's all very subjective. I write and maintain a J2EE site and have no issues.

Did it at Uni. years ago, I used a lot in my last few jobs.

Did some very nice things at Cable and Wireless (Internet Platform Technology) & Lockheed Martin (UK Government Systems) when I worked there.

I've just started a personal project using it as well.

Python is nice too, especially when run on Psyco

Though over the last 5-6 Years PHP has probably been my main language, though the cross over in experience and design skills is language independent as are the typos !!
