NP. I got version 8.0 a while back, and it's really helping out

From what I understand, Diskeeper is superior. The company my uncle works for uses it.

Diskeeper really has improved over the years. Its a lot nicer now. Have any of you tried VotXP? I've found that one lightweight and quite good.

I tried that, and NSW in general is a resource hog, which is why I personally install the standalone apps instead of System Works

Did that (defragmentation) on a 133mhz win98 computer width 32 ram and a 11gb harddrive. it took 8 hours and it's incredible fast now

It is an excellent program. I have Diskeeper Lite installed and like the performance boost over the standard windows defragmenter. I plan to get the full version sometime in the future.

Yes, it really does work. I do it on a weekly basis--it keeps the computer running smoothly.

    I use Norton SpeedDisk.

I've used Diskeeper a long time ago. Does it do on-boot defragmentation of the pagefile and MFT?

started a topic WOW! Defragmentation really works!

    WOW! Defragmentation really works!

My computer kept pausing here and there. Programs were running poorly. Internet explorer kept pausing as if it was dead and then would come back to life. When I was typing something, even though I would be typing but no words appeared until a few seconds passed by... and all sorts of things of this nature.

THEN I THOUGHT... why not do a little defragmentation! And voila!!! My computer is back in bussiness now!

Don't blame sites being slow... sometimes, it could be your computer!
