Get Paid Per Each New Signup???

An admin at http://asylumnation.com told me Imaginet Inc. PAID them for each new user that signed up. I don't see the logic in that.

If you look at the site and the content (sex, violence and flaming) it's hard to see why any company would have interest in this forum, especially when they have no advertisers. But never the less- They DO have a lot of users.

Can somebody explain how exactly you can earn money off your member count?
How would one go about finding such a business partner?

Is this guy pullin my chain? Take a look at the site and tell me. It's quite intriguing.

I can imagine there are lots of flamers that don't mind having permission to flame on stuff with lower moderation, if they pay for it.

The same goes for sex, it just sells. Pay to see some boobies and users do it.

It be a nice idea, but if your getting ££ for each new signup then i would create a forum that uses the subscriptions where once regged the user has to visit a forum (link vb3 ) to a paypal signup or sumthing and pay the £xx to see the rest of the forums and be moved to the new reg group

that way ur gettin ££ for each registration as, users have to pay to access the site

Uh... I don't believe he even owns a license yet, so I don't see how he is advertising a site. But anyways, back to the topic, probably the only way you could get someone to pay you for members is if you sold their email addresses... and if they found our you were selling their info you would loose future signups REALLY fast!

That's most likely the deal with this site. I havn't found them to be very honest- In my experience.

That's why I use a unique forwarder for each account I sign up for. If I see spam coming to that forwarder, delete the email and no more spam

i normally use a catch all and stick in a fake @mydomain.com addy then if it spams me i remove it from the catch all
