Ok, this is not like the Gaia boards (phpBB) or IGN boards (custom), but this is still impressive for me. We hope vB3 will be able to handle this many people.

Can anyone slashdot us so our usercount get really destroyed ?

I will ask about the cookie timeout as soon as possible. I think it is the default value for vb2.

But right now, it appears we have some database issues with threads mergin together ?

We have between 1.650.000 public posts + unknown private posts + 3.150.000 archived on another database, and about 45.000 registrations.

Ok, today's usercount stops at 1776... your independance year isn't it ?

Bi-Xeon 2.4 Ghz 3.5 Go

We changed it this morning. Our old record was 1380 this morning, and now it is 1822 users online ! This new server is really cool.

I am always skeptical of boards with online numbers that high... you often find that they have 24 hour cookie-timeout periods or some other factor that makes the number effectively invalid and incomparable with a board like vb.com with a 15 minute timeout.
