It's so rude to add some one to your address book and then get a virus like this... that's right up there with sending out chain emails to a bunch of people and using the "To" field instead of the "Bcc" field. Exposing an email address like that is the best way to get on spam lists.

Either don't maintain an address book in your email client or be savy enough not to get a virus like this.

Yaa i feel really bad for SCO right now, i received twenty more this morning..
No company or Corporation deserves a DoS attack, and certain not to this extent.

All because of the use or non-use of Linux

SCO advises anyone who has knows about the perpetrator to contact their local FBI office.

SCO also advises anyone who notices strange executable files, possibly in their /usr/bin directory and messages bearing the text /Copyright (C) 1989, 1991 Free Software Foundation, Inc. 59 Temple Place - Suite 330, Boston, MA 02111-1307, USA to contact SCO directly.

SCO has even posted a $250,000 worm bounty

Well i must agree with jake, i am on so many address books and not one person has asked me if they could add me.
Most dont know how to recognize an obvious virus, not that i expect everyone too.
It's just i dont want to be in the address books of people that cannot recognize a virus' or easily get rid of one if accidently infected.

Why should they ask you? It's their address book.

Anyway, Outlook automatically adds contacts to the address book...

Yup, and so does OE and Mozilla Thunderbird.

Because of reasons like this for one (being the original post). Also suddenly getting emails from people, that where sent cc: to about two hundred other people , is kind of an invasion of privacy not to mention just asking for spam..
