I have a Windows XP Pro desktop and a Windows XP Home laptop (now with a Firewire PCMCIA card). How can I link the two directly together so I can have a 400 Mbit/sec connection for transferring files, accessing shares, etc.? The hardware is fine, I just can't figure out the network settings.

disable simple file sharing to make things easier also,, using XP Home dont help much though...MCSE, MVP, CCIE
