Locking Domains

At GoDaddy there is an option to lock your domains. From what I have read it seems like they just prevent any changes being made to that domain while it is in the locked state.

Well I was wondering at the moment I don't want any changes made until when I have to pay my renewal fee next year so is this a good option to just go ahead and turn on for extra protection or is it a feature that sounds good but is kind of worthless?

Domain locking prevents your domain name from being hijacked or accidently transferred

OpenSRS have a very silly policy of allowing transfers to go ahead if you *don't* respond to a confirmation email.

Locking a domain would protect you from this.

A side question after OpenSRS was mentioned: Anyone heard of www.enom.com?

Heard of them yes. I think lots of resellers are with them. Plus they have API access.
