CMS Question....

Here is what I need the CMS to do.....

1.) Post news
2.) List new posts from Multiple forums (different sites)
3.) Downloads area
4.) etc....

Is there a system out there that will do this. I really just need it to be able to pull the newest posts from different databases. This site is going to be the homepage for a forum network.

Miraserver (http://www.miraserver.com/) can do all that. The last ten posts is simply a hack over at vb.org. It also has a news posting feature, I just choose not to list the news on my main page because the page gets long that way. Check it out on my site by clicking the advice link in my signature.

We use Esselbach Storyteller. http://esselbach.com/. It specifcally does what you are asking, plus about a million other advantages over any other CMS out there.

O just stick loads of hacks in, which is what i've done (http://squirrelspit.afraid.org for an example, i haven't finished implementing all hacks yet, but you get the just.)
