I've seen a 500gb external, though I really need an internal one (for an Xbox)

The biggest currently is a 300GB. The one 500GB that Rapid saw was probably 2 250GB hard drives in a Raid 0 Array.

There is a huge external network storage drive that Snap Appliance do at 960GB, but I reckon the cost would be astronomical.

                          That's nothing.

The really serious stuff starts at 2TB
I do not know what the upper limit is.
