  • heat applied on car roof = denting?

if heat was applied to areas of the roof of a car in a cold temperature but with hot air coming out the hair drier, will it cause dents in the roof either immediately or after application?

If the thermal shock is enough, then it could.

i had a decal applied to the roof of my mini and dents have appeared in the roof. £350 worth of damage. They used a hair dryer to apply the decal.

      thanks for the reply

What's the roof of the Mini made of? Steel? Aluminum?
