  • Is this legal?

I have a url that is blocked by some servers as a porn name, when in all honesty it is not. Is it legal for me to run vbulletin off 3 domains using the same database? They would not be different sites, just under different domains using the same database, and same content.

My intentions are only to let it be accessable via every possible way, and I will not break any of the Jelsoft license agreement

    Thank you for your time.

The license is per instance. Which means 1 set of files with 1 mysql database (1 installation).

This means that you can point unlimited domains to 1 instance.

Ok, great, I just do not want them to get on me because it is not on the domain I put down, yet everything is there pointed on the main domain. I just want to make sure they understand and I am legitimate.

I have had several threats from vB because they thought i was using a pirated version when i was actually just pointing domains to another, at the same time i masked the domains so you could not tell that it was being forwarded. I have 3 domains forwarded to one board.

Compare prices and read store reviews by real customers, compare products.

            All the same database.
            Running vB since 4-14-2002

IDN its the same user database and thats all AFAIK and they have seperate licenses.

Its one license per instance of the mysql database.

Say you had a load balancer and a copy of the files on each of the servers thats fine as there is only one set of tables.

One set of tables per license is the best way to describe it.

Unless you are running a testing board which is protected in a folder identifiable as being for testing purposes only, right?

So that means we can have multiple copies on different directories, but all using the same MySQL table?
                  :)

Well I'd hope so.. I have it running in /forum and /fs (the same exact files) running to the same database on my site.
