Virus attacks

Have the recent virus attacks affected you yet? My ISP was down tonight. I called them (centurytel), and the tech said there are massive problems all over because of the recent viruses and that Dept of Homeland Security had ordered them and all US ISPs to close certain ports. Also, Ebay seems to be experiencing big technical problems. I wonder if it's related.

I don't have the viruses, but they sure are affecting me.

I've had a lot of problems reaching regular sites over the last 36 hours. I had no idea it was due to anything like this.

So the DHS is involved?

14/17 tickets in the support system was the virus.

All 3 computers on my network were unaffected last week and the same this week. I use Comcast as well. Very reliable ISP.

I haven't had one virus in my e-mail boxes...

I seem to be getting a lot of .pif (i think) attachments in the logs.

I am receiving an increased 'can't send email', return emails - regardless if I have my internet turned on or off (really isn't sent from me system).

Some familiy members have the same problems.
