Anyone have continued windows update failures?

I have had this windows update try to install on my laptop running XP Pro for the last 3 or so weeks. Everyday this update tries to install and everyday it fails. I have even tried going to the windows update site and running it from there and it fails. I have tried making sure all programs are closed then rebooting....still fails. This is the update where there are like 5 or 6 updates all in one.

cant you remove them and run each one individualy?

If you go to the Windows update site there's an option in the customize section which lets you download the hot fixes as exe files so you can install them yourself on any number of systems or keep them for future upgrades. You click on the more info button and that takes you to the security bulletin page for each fix and from there you'll see a patch link.

Like the rest of MS's products, Windows update is very buggy. I've heard that lots of people are having similar problems with it so you're not alone.
