    Anyway, in my forum rules (which are painfully detailed and lengthy at times), I added a clause saying that WDF doesn't use COPPA and therefore isn't responsible for children's actions; I also suggested that parents accompany their children online.
    That still doesn't protect you as the owner. What I seem to find best is adding a clause "By registering on these forums you acknowledge that you are 13 years of age, or older.". Those under will still register for most part, so you don't loose out on members. But as long as you don't know they're under 13 and you don't allow minor registrations without parental permission (or altogether here), you are not liable for anything.
