I prefer 'forum' because it is what the official vBulletin sites use, and i'm used to it more.

I know it's not what you're looking for, but I tend to use community.

if you use "forum(s)" as part of your domain name, go for forums. A domain with "forum" in it, and not "forums", may be mistaken to be a forum of different meaning, whereas "forums" is fairly inevitably a community.

However, I would still personally just register both and simply forward the "forum" domain to the "forums" domain.

Forums for the whole thing, forum for a specific forum inside your forums.

Forums They both work to me, but I look at each different "category" as a different forum within a "board", so it's plural in my eyes. (Fora just sounds like some sort of sea creature )

I say forum too because I've always had mine like that and I'd have to admit I was wrong if I say forums sounds better, and I'm never wrong.
