What is the native resolution of your monitor?

19'' LCDs are usually 1280x1024, but can also be 1600x1200.

      Thanks Jakeman

I changed the resolution to 1280x1024 as you said and now it looks perfect. I just bought this new monitor!

For something like a monitor, I wouldn't buy online unless you've seen it real-life in a store before. You'll definitely want to check it out to see how the images look first.

For the 20" NEC TFT I'm getting, the optimum res. is 1600x1200 at 60Hz

I thought TFT screens don't have a refresh rate?

Marco: They do have a response time though, as TFT only update what parts needed updated.

I've always wanted the SGI 1600SW, a 17" widescreen. I saw them when they debuted and the image quality is outstanding. You can get em for about $300-400 on ebay.

Getting a full ride to college was the kicker. Really, I should have a $40,000 graduation present
