My overclocked 9700 PRO works very good, no driver issues at all.

The driver wasnt that bad, works okay, but its very similar to the creative situation, imo. Badly written drivers, though they get the job done. (and ive had a few small issues with driver problems on dual monitors and in certain olderish games)

I have an uncle that runs a gaming cafe and he recently got some p4 dells and put some 9700 pros in them. Games run very, very clean and smooth. I almost a total Nvidia fan that has now switched to ATI.

i would just get a 9700pro or a 9800pro 128MB card because the 256MB is no faster(in some tests it slower then the 128MB cards), also you could be waiting some time for it to drop that low, the 9700pro has been out for some time and there just now getting down around that price.

Exactly. And by then, something even bigger and better will come out.

Reason why i would get the 256mb is because i want it to last awhile.

so the 256 isn't much better?

                              Personally I'd recommend a RADEON 9700 Pro.

I used to be a huge NVidia fan, but it's clear ATI has taken the lead, and that their 9700 Pro, and 9800 Pro cards are superior, and offer much better performance than the GeForce FX. (in most tests)
