anyone have any clue on where pixeljunction.com is going? Is Kier dead? Or just really busy with vb 3.0 style? I miss chatting with all my brothas over there.

I doubt if the owner of pixeljunction.com would simply let a site like that go down as it has, just because "he/she is busy...".

Even though I don't know the owner(s), but I hope that nothing bad has happened to them.

Sinecure is apparently still alive but just hasn't done anything about PJ and I can't see it coming back soon, to be honest when it does come back it will be a ghost town as most will by now think it's been abandoned.

Glad my host provides a weekly backup on another machine available for download at any time. I can't imagine loosing everything. But I also can't imagine if I ran pixel definition, I wouldnt back up.

Yup Bane is right - the database is corrupted but Lyle is very busy right now with other projects and life so he hasn't had much time to investigate further

Hmm... I told him to make a backup of the database after my useraccount got hacked. I guess he never did... :-/

As a site/forum in it's infancy I do a regular backup every day.

Another teen site I've been to once or twice lost 35,000 posts from doing a mass prune testing the prune function... and they hadn't done a backup since feb. and this happened early may.

It had at least a few thousand users and at least a couple of dozen thousands of posts.
