  • VCD Question

What file types can i burn to a vcd using nero and be played on my dvd player using 800MB CD-R's?

I used mpeg and it turned out an hour long was 3GB! I need to short it down to burn it to a vcd, not that show but others

I'm guessing http://www.doom9.org/ might have the answer.

        lol

Take some time to browse a site dude, you don't have to register there. They have a big database with software from you to pick from with detailed descriptions. You might need to register the forum, but that is just their community.

You might find vcdgear on their site.

I personally never use vcd's no more, because I rather see good quality of my dvd's in DiVX or XViD then almost any svcd or any vcd.

If you are working from an AVI file, download a program called Tsunami MPeg Encoder ( http://www.tmpegenc.com )

You can use the wizard to create your MPG file ready for vcd buring in Nero, Adaptec or your favorite burning software.

If its from an existing MPG file, you'll have to demux it first (can do through tmpegenc as well. )
