The storms could quite possibly be causing some of the problems. There were tornados in Colorado yesterday and today. A quite spectacular piece of video was shot today from the Denver International Airport of a tornado at about 1:00 p.m. Pacific Time.

They were not 'changed'. The vbulletin.org site was registered before it was on the vB servers and has always had a different nameserver.

No access for me today either. I tried both from work and at home, both came up with a DNS error.

In that case it would still be possible to reach the site through its IP... which it clearly isn't..

IP-based virtual hosting is just retarded anyway :P

how about getting someone to set up a *name-based* virtual host of vborg.vbulletin.com until the problems are resolved?

I would be happy to give you a ns2 or even an ns3 for free for all the vB domains.. Hopefully it would stop things like this in the future happening.

Can anyone reach either domain or is this global? I'm wondering if some lamer hacker got pissed at vb.org and got a bunch of buddies together and DoSed it forcing the ISP to null route the IP.. It's been over 24 hours now with no routing... thats insane...

Is it just me or could also have something to do with the huge datavse corruption at Pixel Junction, I mean it and vb.org have a few thinngs in common along the lines of its somewhere sin hangs out (no hes not to blame before anyone jumps) but maybe this could be an attack on sites Sin is part of or maybe just because both sites have linked to each and conatin news post regarding the other?

Just a thought.. hope you guys fix it soon

No... vBulletin.org is not related to PixelJunction.com in any way.
