There is no coding to use in a standard HTML page to automatically do this for you. In a PHP page, you use show_source(stuff)

If you save a file as .phps
it will show the source too, highlighted.

Only if you have the appropriate options turned on in your php.ini file. Not everyone does.

Merk, you add this code to your file:

if ($_SERVER['QUERY_STRING'] == 'source') {
    highlight_file($_SERVER['PHP_SELF']);
    exit;
}

Then link to file.php?source.
