4000 users but no-one posts...

I have a forum with 4000 users but onone seems to post that often. What can I do to change this?

How come you got so many users but in the last 24 hours only 25 posts ?

Have you made them sign up for something else other than forum ? How long has your forum been running ? Do these non - posters visit your forum at all ?

Basically we recently merged with another soccer forum and that didn't go down too well with alot of the mods on the forum we took over .

The forum initially had 500 members and the forum we took over had over 4000. But of that 4000 there were only 20 or more regular posters and they all left because they were unhappy about the merge.

It seems so difficult to get people talking - I think I have too many forums...

That explains why some of your top 10 posters are banned.

You got to find out what exactly they are pissed about and fix it. I know they don't lik the merge but there must be more to it than that.

No way, I've tried and there is far too much bad blood. It's a shame but there you go. I don't know what else to do now...

Email all your users and ask them to come back, in an offical way..

Offer something unique or unorthodox, say an unmoderated forum or something like that.

Doesn't mean you can't change the default colors
