  • Any CPanel/Exim/CPPOP gurus around?

I am having problems getting Exim and CPPOP to restart, and no joy from either the cpanel support system or the forums...

So I'm hoping someone here may be able to help

    http://forums.cpanel.net/showthread....&threadid=8823

Describes my problem... (well, one of many)

    Anyone able to help?

Did you get it yet? Might try turning off SpamAssin in WHM, then a restart of Exim. Also, run the scripts/upcp too, it might help.

It has been a couple months since I ran Cpanel, so just going from memory here.

Is this a new server? did you try using WHM and see if the same error is generated, it will likely fail in there also, but may give you more info.. error logs etc..

what ever is happening, your server load is high due to swapping to disk by up to 512mb - something on your server is consuming alot of memory

also you have alot of stopped and zombied processes

          Code:
           5:59am up 1 day, 6:52, 1 user, load average: 9.50, 5.56, 4.33
          337 processes: 296 sleeping, 2 running, 14 zombie, 25 stopped
CPU states: 85.0% user, 14.8% system, 0.0% nice, 0.1% idle
          Mem: 1031008K av, 851964K used, 179044K free, 0K shrd, 2680K buff
          Swap: 2096472K av, 343140K used, 1753332K free 186032K cached

Why is one HTTPD process taking up 99% of your CPU and has been running for over 7 hours?

If you're sure its not you, then I would stop and restart Apache.

An update for those of you following the soap opera that is my server

POP is now working, and email is going through to ALL hosted domains EXCEPT MY MAIN ONE!

                  Argh! etc

Actually, cancel that... incoming mail (from outside the server) isn't getting through to POP accounts at all - tho redirects seem ok.

(still waiting for cpanel's input from support ticket)
