What is a good free php editor that has a nice infterface and features?

PHP Expert Editor Looks good, but isnt free

I use Dreamweaver MX although it's horrible at long files and is buggy. On a Mac I use BB Edit.

Both aren't free but both have a 30-day trial.

Also not free but compared to the price of Dreamweaver, you can purchase it along with a 27 inch television, a DVD player and a few movies.

Oh... and the largest document I have ever opened in Textpad was a 900 megabyte CSV file that needed to be manually reviewed for integrity.

        Well, I'm using Editpad Lite,
The Lite version is free, but has a lot of great features. No syntax coloring though, you'll need the Pro version for that. But darn, I love the search and replace feature

And yup, I've edited an sql file with it that was about the same size as Wayne's file. No problem there, just have a bit of patience

I used Dreamweaver, but I didn't care for it too much. Right now I use Ultra Edit, very nice editor.

              Nice but slightly buggy.

Slow Java app but fully featured.

EditPlus 2 is not free, but it is more than worth the small investment. I wouldn't (couldn't) use anything else. It has built in FTP also.

I'm using Developers Pad and really like it. It's simple and free.

is called DZSoft PHP editor, and I find it works exceptionally well. It has a similar cost to Edit Plus 2 but this program is strictly for PHP and isn't that buggy.

I personally would not be able to live without EditPlus 2.
