Porn Spammer hit my forum

The image verification definitely stops this script - but only if it's operating.

It's a new option in the Admin CP. You need to choose which HD version your server is running and enable Image Verification in the registration settings.

I'm looking at my cpanel on my host and under 'installed perl modules' I see several 'GD' modules Is that the 'GD' your talking about. I see nothing that tells me what version they are. I do see PHP v4.3.1.

Then if your server has PHP compiled with GD support, you have uploaded all the 2.3.0 fuiles and you have reverted the registeradult template. then this will work.

I started out with 2.3.0. Are you saying I need to upload more files?

I'm not really sure what you are asking. What's the link to your phpinfo.php file?

I'm trying to determine if my host has 'GD'. You said in a previous post that 'GD' is required for the image verification to work properly. I suppose I should contact my host for this info.


The second part is a pretty straight forward question to one of your posts.

I have now updated to 2.3.0 and activated GD per the suggestions I found here. Hope it helps.

Upload the phpinfo.php file from the 'extras' directory of the zip file to your forums directory. Then post the URL here. This will help us determine if GD is compiled in.

Steve, I have GD Library enabled on my server, but for some reason, the image verification is not showing up.
